Each year, IBC responds to over 700 requests from the media for information or interviews. On the left, you will find links to IBC spokespeople, media releases and audiovisual materials. As well, the Hot Topics page gives brief overviews of the issues facing IBC member companies and the insurance industry in general, and provides links to more detailed information.

Insurance Bureau of Canada is the national trade association for the companies that insure the homes, cars and businesses of Canadians. Together, IBC’s members provide nearly 95% of the private home, car and business insurance sold in Canada.
IBC works on behalf of its member companies and their customers to advocate for public policies that create and maintain a healthy insurance marketplace. IBC facilitates communications, seeks consensus among its members and other stakeholders and, when in the position to do so, acts to address common insurance concerns.
